Described variously as production sound mixer, location sound recordist, location sound engineer or simply sound mixer. The sound mixer is the senior-most sound position during pre-production and production. Serving as a sound recordist during filming, and responsible for recording and balancing the audio effects on set.

I have had over 20 years experience working in this role for all types of television, film, advertising and new media projects. I have worked for major broadcasters in the UK and USA and have recorded sound in locations all around the world.
